Ben Lowes
I am a photographer based out of Norwich, UK. I work commercially as the in-house photographer for an online drinks retailer and live my 9-5 life in the studio. This line of work has given me the opportunity to work hands-on with a range of products, producing images for various online e-commerce, editorial and campaign features.
My personal portfolio is a mixture of digital and film photography. A lot of my inspiration comes from my interest in vintage aesthetics and I try to incorporate nostalgic and cinematic characteristics into my work. I love old cars and clothing, and find myself drawn to them as subjects when I’m out with my camera.
My family moved around a lot when I was a kid, and I was lucky enough to live in countries such as Russia, The Netherlands and Singapore. These experiences shaped me as a photographer, through exposure to a diversity of cultures and environments. Such diversity gave me the need to capture moments in my life so I can hold onto them, and photography is the perfect way to do so.
